Founded in 2013 by Ita Fitriyah, Batik Tulis Lintang Malang is a batik producer based in Malang Regency, Indonesia. We are known for our distinctive Tlogosari tree patterns and dedication to traditional craftsmanship. Located in Ngijo Village, Karangploso, our full-service facility in East Java produces high-quality and culturally significant batik, empowering local women and preserving Indonesian heritage.

Batik Lintang Welcomes 6 Interns from SMKN 1 Jabon Sidoarjo

Malang, May 30th, 2024 – Batik Lintang Malang offers a six-month internship program to six students majoring in Batik and Creative Textile Crafts, SMKN 1 Jabon, Sidoarjo. Under the direct guidance of gallery owner Ita Fitriyah, students will gain hands-on experience in batik making, interacting with the local community, and developing entrepreneurial skills. This program aims to enhance students' batik-making skills, social involvement, and entrepreneurial abilities for their future.

Ita’s Persistence: From Three Robberies to the Rise of Batik Lintang

Malang, May 30th, 2024 – Despite facing various challenges, Ita Fitriyah (48), a batik craftsman from Malang, has successfully developed Batik Lintang into a leading MSME with the distinctive Tlogosari tree motif. In addition to producing quality batik, Ita is also actively conducting batik classes and serves as a batik assessor at BNSP.

Malang, May 30th, 2024 – Tlogosari batik, a batik art from Ngijo Village inspired by the Tlogosari tree with its spiritual history, has attracted widespread attention, thanks to Ita Fitriyah's (48) efforts in preserving and introducing its philosophy and history, including through handwritten and stamped batik techniques to meet market demand. This motif is not only rich in history and philosophy but is also continuously studied scientifically by universities in Malang.
